As we return to the thrills of a new winter season here at Alpine Resorts, let us not forget about how the year 2021 shaped our travel preferences; our decisions on how and where to take our rest time in addition to the standards we now expect, which have changed forever more. Of course, 2021 was a year punctuated by change, particularly when it comes to global travel and tourism. Never before have you been more deserving of a great holiday in the crisp, clean mountain air. Here we take a look at how our teams in our exclusive residences across the French Alps have adapted to this new world.

After the saison blanche of 2020/2021, it was a huge relief to finally reopen our restaurants in Les Gets and Courchevel in June and July. Our chefs, patient and inspired during the compulsory restaurant closures, returned at last to their kitchens fuelled by a need to practice their creative skills. Of course, these did not go unnoticed and many of you enjoyed a well deserved meal, either on our sunny terraces or inside our cosy restaurants during the summer season.

Furthering our response to changes in travel and the rising demand for wellness experiences, the exclusive Manali Lodge opened for its first summer season during 2021. In the winter months, this prestigious residence on the slopes of Courchevel is the destination of choice for chic ski holidays, yet in the summer it’s the perfect spot for yoga, mindfulness and activity holidays that serve to restore and rejuvenate your body and mind. Our initiative at Manali Lodge was a huge success and we look forward to sharing details of our Summer 22 programme very soon. If you’re already planning your alpine trip for this summer season, don’t miss our 10% discount when you book early.

As Winter 2022 approached, our bold ambition to open two brand new luxury residences in Val d’Isère was realised. Vail Lodge is our first ski-in, ski-out property in this popular resort and we welcomed our first guests of the season during December 2021. The 14 individual properties inside Vail Lodge vary in size from three to five bedrooms and they have become very popular already, thanks to their excellent location and stunning interiors. You can discover more about Vail Lodge and check our live availability HERE. Meanwhile, the opulent Alaska Lodge, set in one of the most exclusive parts of Val d’Isère, welcomed its first guests. This private residence of just six individual apartments sits just 500 metres from the centre of the village.

And finally, last but certainly not least, we topped off the year with the opening of La Bokka, our contemporary Italian trattoria in Les Gets after a postponement of 12 months. The feedback since has been phenomenal, especially for those who’d waited one year for a fine, stone baked pizza, a crisp glass of Prosecco or the taste of rustic, authentic Italy. La Bokka is located within our new Kinabalu residence in Les Gets. Opened at the end of 2020, Kinabalu and its adjoining Annapurna residence offer the privacy and flexibility of an individual holiday property with the convenience, luxury and efficiency of hotel services such as our dedicated concierge team and ski shop. Our guests indulge in the relaxing Sapana Spa with swimming pool, hammam and private treatment rooms after a day in the mountains, before relaxing for a cocktail in the bars of Vina or La Bokka at the end of the day.

And for 2022? Our teams across the French Alps are already very busy welcoming back guests from around the world. The welcome is warm and genuine, snow conditions are excellent with more on the horizon and travel finally seems to be easy again. You can view our remaining availability in our luxury residences across Les Gets, Val d’sere and Courchevel HERE. Offer valid until 28/02. A spring ski offer is coming soon, stay tuned!
